I have experiences working in inpatient settings, outpatient clinics, chemical dependency programs, emergency rooms, crisis, Red Cross National Disaster Response, and in private practice.
As a consultant to the California Deptartment of Mental Health I have provided assessment and coordination of state-wide county mental health programs. I also have special interests in job stress, crisis response, life issues, marital/partner relationships, and organizational and programmatic issues.

I have practiced clinical social work since 1994, and have worked as
a social worker since 1987 as a school counselor in a middle school,
a home-based mental health service provider, and as a clinical director
and therapist for a residential treatment program for latency age and
adolescent boys and their families. I recently retired from UC Davis Medical Center where I was a clinical social
worker. My emphasis is on supporting families
to create their own solutions and to realize their dreams.

My clinical background is fortified by over twenty-five years experience as a mental health professional trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapies in hospitals, community mental health and university settings. My doctoral internship was completed at UC Davis Department of Family Medicine. I completed my doctoral fellowship training at Kaiser Permanente Department of Psychiatry in Roseville.
Since 2002, I have been in private practice offering services in the area of psychotherapy, community presentations and therapist trainings. I am a Certified EMDR Practitioner and Consultant. I have over 20 years experience providing quality EMDR Therapy for trauma, anxiety/mood disorders, grief and loss, and pain management issues.
